PL-photo3D

PL-photo3D is a Freeware dedicated to Non-Linear Photogrammetry.

Photogrammetry is the technique of measuring objects (3D) from photographs.

Only pairs of photographs taken with the same cam (same settings) are required to calculate the 3D-space coordinates of objects in a scene.

The optical parameters of the cam (Focal distance, Distortion characteristics) as well as the location and orientation of the cam do not need to be known in advance, if Control Points are used.

Control Points are specific points in the scene whose 3D-space coordinates are precisely known.

PL-photo3D requires 9 Control Points, well located in the scene, to compute the calibration parameters corresponding to the pair of shots.

Thus, the calculation of the 3D-space coordinates of any other point is possible.

In a second stage, PL-photo3D embeds a user friendly graphic interface to visualize the points, link them to others by means of line segments and move around these structures with the Mouse.

PL- photo3D is available for free with no limitations.
